The Parent Forum is a consultative body established in 2012 as part of the partnership between school and families. It consists of volunteer parent representatives from all senior year groups, and aims to provide a structured channel for the 'parent voice' to play a constructive role within school, in both strategic and operational matters. Further information is contained in the PARENT FORUM REMIT. The three key foci are a forum to discuss wider school issues, a sounding board for new ideas and provide enhanced partnership between parents and school.
As part of the parent body, the Parent Forum offers a valuable two-way dialogue to enable the school to have a greater understanding of families' experience at BGS, supporting the maintenance and development of the school's provision, and to improve parents' understanding of the school's functioning
The Forum meets at least once a term, and is attended by the Forum reps and by the senior leadership of the school. Minutes of previous meetings can be seen [via the links on this page].
All parents and guardians can contact the Forum by general email or via individual reps. Individual issues should continue to be dealt with via other channels.
